From her eyes

I gazed depths into her eyes,
After agreeing on a staring contest.
Notice how I blinked twice,
Just after we blew the starting whistle.
That’s how weak I get,
Knees weak - heart weak - around her.
And when she noticed me staring further,
Even after my deemed failure.
Her eyes struck back with a gaze,
Perhaps a futile attempt,
to startle a grown man’s heart.
And as always I took it with a smile.
when I gazed upon her eyes further,
instead of the love that I was hoping for
I got to see my own reflection thrown back at me.
And on her eyes there was no love for me.

Sometimes my heart crave to give out unending hugs, in-between pauses of your late-night speech.
Often I crave comfort,
To idly recline on your back,
To find my tears washed away after gaining relief from the wounds past had gifted us.
Sometimes I find you comfortable as home,
Even on the times my heart is seeping despair.
And I am not even dazed to say,
I had known this a long time before.

just like a soldier of a fallen brigade, on crossing a fragile bridge.
I am easily forgotten and pitifully looked upon by you in my desperateness.
But my heart still sings the tune of an unending hope,
where I find myself fuelled to take another step,
hoping to get closer to you every day.
But the irony is you saying I'm already one among the closest ones.
But we both know I am only welcomed up to your doorsteps and not further in.
And If I ever try to compel my way in, you always ask to leave my heart outside.

Waits over, waves thrashed and the tulips merged.
Tiptoed, she rose to touch her lips to the epitome of an arching knight.
But the way her face was lit by the campus moon,
Made her look like an unsung character from the faded page of a nameless book.
The nights blue had already painted its way to her bosoms, and on that dim vacant corridors we chose to savour each other's impaling figures.

This silence which I am trapped in surrounds me like an incomprehensible cotton ball.
Where I find myself held down to a nailed out plank.
From where I struggle to make a comeback.
I am lost in a murky lake of blankness,
in a motionless heathen of debilitating silence.
I row my boat in hopes of finding Something
Clear open blue and bright.
Instead I found my paddles stuck in between
Muddy roots of a shallow lake.

God surely commanded his angels to bring in two silver platters, filled with couple ounces of pure white milk.
Then he definitely Would've asked them to put in two gooseberries to stay afloat.
surely he created a black hawk and asked it to guard those silver platters with its wings spread out.
It now sits as a thick uni-brow
Hovering over that two black gems
Which seems to be the only two keys that could unlock the doors to my wicked old heart.
