Walking in the yellow fields She seemed happy Chirping like a canary bird Her pale face was glowing Her brown hair were ruffling with the slow winds How beautifully she was enjoying that scene
Far away from those crowds and cities She and her solitude were busy enjoying Dressed up in red she was looking like a rose The sky was praising her beauty And her heart was accepting her flaws Like a goddess She was dancing in love How magically nature nourished her tears In the lap of mother earth She overcame her fears
At a certain point in life we end up making ourselves alone , far from the world around us ....why ? There is no certain reason to that but there is definitely an answer , that neither we nor others know . From smiling to crying we do experience many shades of our feelings and thats normal ...... but all we lost during this time is the innocence we used to carry within us .....still we live , learn and love ....why ? !!
Watching the sun shining like gold I often miss you my love Wondering why am I like this I do cry out my pain , dear ! What happened and why I don't want to recall that past Everything happens for a reason Is what I have taught myself in this years
How tough would it be to have you back Is the only thought often I have With broken crayons am still Drawing my dreams Will you come to have a look at my art ? I am still waiting for you.... Can't we have a new start?!
Surrounded by shadows She went looking for light With a heavy heart and wet eyes She trusted her insight Once a rose was now a cactus Her fairytale turned out to be a circus Still afraid to trust someone A lost soul was no more fun
Singing the poems of her pains She wrote a story to overcome her shame To be the happiest girl became her only dream The world was curious about her deeds With mighty dreams in her tender heart She went on a journey to begin a new start
Time flew , days passed.... Once a caged bird Now own the blue sky
Sarah never reached any conclusion. She badly wanted to know but she couldn't muster up the courage to.
It was another day she was waiting to catch up with Jay. It had already been more than twenty days. She would wait for him till midnight and he never showed up until morning. But today it was different Jay came back home earlier than expected. Sarah was already at the door. She had just less than two months to complete her mission. Today she was going to speak to this person no matter what. As Jay entered the house she blocked his way in. Jay was in a rage, he was irritated by Sarah. All he wanted was to make her leave the house. He glared at her his eyes were speaking the harshest words. ' What do you want, just leave my house! .' Sarah was quick-witted. She just told him ' listen to me once and I'll leave. I promise. ' Jay has had enough of this girl, He was troubled by her presence now.
' Spill it out, but this is the last time I'm listening to you. Remember! ' Jay directly reacted.
Both went back to the garden Jay sat on the bench waiting to hear her. ' I... I am not a human. Neither granny is.' Jay looked puzzled but he kept silent. As if he knew it all. The silence Sarah thought was a way of him telling her to go ahead and speak. ' Her last mission were you. I don't know the details. But she failed the mission. Since then she's been by your side. But our world is different she can't stay here forever. We need her. She needs to go back. I'm here to get her back. ' Jay was listening to her but he again chose to remain silent. Instead of responding to Sarah, he walked out of the garden and then the gate. When Sarah heard nothing she turned around. Only to her surprise, Jay was missing. She saw him at the gate and ran towards him. She could've used her powers but she knew it was wrong to display them like this. While she was following Jay she came across the board ' Thank you for visiting Elpida.' all that was inside her head started rewinding. The accident of hers. The girl was her. This was where she died. Her nightmares had a backstory, tears came out of her eyes. But why did she exactly die? She recalled her past... She was dying there in the dark this was when she saw Granny for the first time. The boy beside her. She knew him. Was he.. was he Jay? The couple riding the car. They were Jay's parents. Her favourite uncle and aunt. This all was so much for her that she collapsed. This was also the first time since she became an angel she lost consciousness. Her hands became invisible to visible. This all was so scary to the eyes and disturbing too. 'Mummma' she screamed. And fainted.
Jay was walking just a few metres before her. He heard the scream and looked back and found her on the road lying.
As the two were speaking Jay was at the door listening to them. He felt cheated, confused all at the same time. He decided not to enter inside the house and sat on the bench in the garden. He had so many things running on in his head. He recalled the past. Even when it was cold outside he doesn't know how he dozed off to sleep. In the morning he found himself inside his room. He tried to recall how he landed in there. 'Hey, it's cold outside. Go and sleep in your room' Sarah told him while he was on the bench. 'who are you? Why are you here?' jay asked her. ' who I am doesn't matter! I'm here for granny. She must come with me. But I might need your help. Will you help me?' Sarah confessed in the most gentle way she could. ' are you kidding me.' he replied next he remembered some white wings like feathers and he flew to his room. He came back to reality. ' i wasn't even drunk, why then am I imagining things. This can't be real. How can she have feathers? I must be dreaming. But right then he noticed a few feathers on the window sill.. aaaaah' he wanted to disappear. ' Can this even be real?'
Throughout the day he pretended he didn't know anything, he doesn't remember anything. Almost a week passed. Sarah tried to approach him but he kept ignoring her. Maybe he was afraid to hear it, had he seen it coming?
'Granny, you are my senior. We all require you. I can't go without you, you know you're needed.' Sarah spoke so softly she wanted to cry out but she knew it was of no help.
' you know, I won't come with you, I just can't. Not without knowing the reason I failed. And also, I can't leave him. When I know it's my fault. It was my last mission I failed. I can't just let him be on his own. I need someone by his side. ' Granny replied in a peaceable yet steady tune. This Sarah couldn't deny. But she didn't know the exact details of the mission. She too was curious to know what was happening in this house. But she couldn't inquire about her seniors. How could she, she had been in the community of angels for like six years and Granny's mission took place before her joining. She sighed. She had been waiting for Jay for three whole hours but since Jay discovered the feathers that night, he's been ignoring her. She dozed off to sleep on the sofa and a weird dream which she had been dreaming about since these six years knocked her sleep again. It was a car accident of three people. This dream would always leave her restless. But this time she saw a signboard of ' Thanks for visiting Elpida.' This made her wonder. Did she know this place before in her life as a human? Why all this was appearing before her eyes? She kept thinking about it. Confused whether she should try to find about her human life or not. Whether she should commit the sin of exploring her past or not? Deep down inside her heart, she wanted to know who was she? Who were her parents? Did she ever have a family? How did she die? But she knew once she would unravel the mystery she might regret. She would've to pay for it.
The next morning Jay woke up to the noise of utensils, ' stop, stop!' he begged in sleep, he heard some laughs, he opened his eyes as sun rays fell on his eyes, he recalled what's happening in the house. He went up and rushed to the kitchen. He saw Sarah and Granny cooking together with joy and zeal. It had been a long time since Jay had seen Granny grinning like that. He smiled to himself. Sarah was gazing at him, all this while. Seeing him smile is a rare dainty. Lucky her. But Jay caught her gaze. And as their eyes met she started staring at the ceiling.
'umm, what are you doing, so cheerfully Granny?' Jay spoke as he entered in. 'making poison for you! My child.' Granny grinned. ' that means I'm not gonna live longer than you, that's good! Who wants to grow old.' Jay playfully replied as he sat at the dining table. And Granny patted him as she sat beside him. ' Sarah, my girl! You make amazing food, come and sit with us.' Granny asked Sarah to join in. The three had their breakfast. And the day passed by.
While Jay was on his way home, he again noticed the twinkle in the sky. He felt as if the twinkle was following him. But he sighed. He might be imagining things. As he reached home. He saw the twinkle entering before him. He had enough of it. But now the illusions he's seeing were making him go mad. He decided he might need to go to a doctor. As he went in he saw the twinkling shine assemble and then he saw Sarah appearing. He thought it must be an illusion ' how can this be possible? ' Sarah heard him speaking to himself she rushed into her room. She was very much disturbed. 'what if he saw me? just now. Sarah how can you be so careless.' she couldn't help but overthink and overthink. She thought this time she was done for real.
Meanwhile, Jay still couldn't believe his eyes. He went straight outside. 'what if she is a ghost? How could she do that? How is that even possible? She's not a human. I'm sure. She's not! How can she even be Daisy Aunt's daughter? She's surely conning Granny into believing so.' his thoughts went from south to west, back and forth as he kept moving anxiously in the garden.
Sarah on the other hand was caught red-handed. She couldn't make up stories either. She went to Granny 'he saw me shifting, will I be cursed? I don't know how to even begin my mission now. I just need you to come with me. After all this how will I persuade him now?' she said in one go. Granny wasn't even surprised. ' I came here to look after him, after all the faults I created. He is behind me still counting on my days here. How can I leave him and go with you? You need to find someone to accompany him only then will I leave.' Grany explained in a calm and cold tune. Did she know who Sarah was in reality? 'Now he knows about me? How will I cover it up? ' Sarah spoke gently as if she would be sentenced for disclosing her identity. ' maybe he knows it now because you cannot hide the truth all the time. I've been beside him for this long. I never was pointed, but I suppose he knows it all.' Granny sighed after letting it out. But continued ' Don't stress nothing bad will happen to you. You did no wrong.'
The girl was not fazed a bit, as Jay entered. But tension could be seen building up on Granny's face. Silence surrounded the three. Jay was curious to know who the girl is. He recalled all the uncertain events but then he thought ' she's a human, how can that be, no magic can be done, right?' to himself, ' maybe I'm just overthinking.' Soon Granny spoke and the silence broke. ' Jay she's.. she's a relative of mine. Don't worry, she's here to look after me.'
' look after you? ' Jay seemed worried as he asked this. He paused and continued. ' what's wrong with you Granny ' he went near granny ' are you alright, why didn't you tell me instead, you know I'm here for you.' he was about to ask so much more, the thought of granny being ill and this mysterious girl looking after her instead of him, made him feel less important. Granny to him was everything, no matter what happened in the past.
'Jayy' granny softly called his name as she tried to console him. ' nothing is wrong with me, this old lady won't leave you easily. It has been years since she and I last met. She's here cause she missed me' Granny tried to explain as the girl nodded.
All this time the girl was standing there, unfazed but now she spoke.' Yes, I'm here Because I couldn't locate Granny for a long time. She's fine don't worry.' Jay ignored her as if it didn't matter who she is. And raised his eyebrow as an answer. 'Jay, that's not how you treat people!' Granny noticed him. ' okay, okay! ' he just ignored it all. ' I'll get you guys food then, you talk. ' he smiled and went into the kitchen.
The kitchen was fragrant with a spice smell. Of course, granny makes the best food. He just took the utensils and made the dining table. ' Granny, come let's have food. ' he called them. Granny and the Girl appeared together. Again silence draped their space. Granny knew Jay isn't feeling comfortable about the girl in white. ' Jay, this is Sarah. Remember Daisy, my friend she's her daughter.' She again broke the silence. ' Daisy Maa, the one who made you chocolates. ' ' oh, I remember. She has been out of touch for a long time now. ' Jay said while munching on the food. ' Yes, she's been busy with life lately. She sent me here to check on Granny. She was concerned.' Sarah said. Jay was about to raise his eyebrows but Granny's stare stopped him, ' oh, great.' he replied without even looking at her.
The three finished their dinner and Granny asked Jay to prepare the guest room for Sarah. Jay didn't wish to indulge with her. But how could he refuse Granny? So he just followed the orders.
'Your room is ready, let me lead you.' he said in a conserved tone. Sarah nodded, she could sense the isolation she was being seated in by Jay. But it didn't bother her. She went to the room and Jay left. He straight went to Granny.
'Granny!! How long is she staying?' he asked. ' Few months.' ' Few months?!' he exclaimed. ' Jay, stop behaving like a toddler. She's not here to eat you up. It's getting late, go and sleep.' Granny said in a stern tone. Jay couldn't respond. ' ahh, okay, goodnight ' he whimpered.
As he noticed the twinkling glitter in the sky, he got confused, What was that? It wasn't the first time he saw something weird, he just couldn't explain it. He shrugged and continued ploughing. The dusk was here, as he noticed the sun going down, he paused and stared at the sun, thinking what the world behind the sky would be. ' It's getting colder, I should head back home. ' he spoke to himself.
On his way back he started humming. The departmental store caught his eyes, he went in and greeted the storekeeper. Again he noticed something strange twinkling. ' Do you see the twinkle over there, what's it? ' he asked the storekeeper.
' Hey, stop kidding there's nothing over there. ' the man replied. Jay became puzzled and shrugged. He bought a few fruit drinks and fruits for Granny and left the store. ' Something must be wrong with me..' he said as he kept walking.
He reached home, without knocking he jumped in trying to shock Granny, but Granny was unfazed.
' When will you grow up, Jay. You should find better ways to shock me. ' Granny mocked him.
He came to granny and hugged her, ' If I'll grow up, won't you become too old then.' he teased her. ' You are such a fool, my child. You sit I've made some steak for you. Go fresh n up.' Granny ordered him.
He did the same. But while on his way out to the living room, he noticed some noise, thinking is someone outside. He went to check it up, again he found nothing. But unlike in the shop he could hear sounds now, they were from inside the house. He hopped in, 'Who's here?' 'Granny, I heard some voices. Is there....' He stopped as he saw a girl dressed in white standing beside Granny.
Ok, I'm super nervous. I hope I won't let you all down. Firstly if you are reading this, thank you so much for believing in me.♥ I've been wanting to write a story for a long time. Have been working on it, for a long time as well. XD Without wasting your time here it goes. I hope this isn't short. :)
It all started ten years back, someone unknown yet known knocked on the heart of the strangers. No one knew his name, his acquaintances or him. But no one could ignore a naive young kid. He was the biggest mystery of the place, people called him Jay but who was he? What was his name? His past? No one knew. He was tall enough, his eyes were brown filled with frowns and deep, deeper than the oceans. And so was his heart - big, and deep. He cared for each person in his village.
He came to this village called Elpida ten years back. Elpida in the Greek language means hope and this village gave him all the hope and reasons to discover himself. When he came he looked lifeless, with no will to survive. He was taken in by a Granny named Maya. He could see anything, bear anything but he could never see Granny collapse and crumble. Granny would look after him, and he was Granny's reason to carry on. The day he came into her life she was about to get destroyed the 16-year-old kid comforted her, and became her child. He came to her as an angel.
' Granny, I'm going into forests ', Jay said as he served her breakfast.
' As if you won't go, if I'll stop you. ' Granny replied childishly and they both giggled and Jay made his way to the forests. The deep woods were his home. The animals are his homies. He kept climbing the hill and reached the Array land as they call it, it was where he would plant medicinal herbs. He was amazing with Ayurvedic. He could have as much knowledge as a medicinal doctor. He had wonderful skills But his exact whereabouts, no one knew except Granny.
He collected some herbs and moved to the fields. He went forth and started ploughing. While he was at it, he noticed something strange in the sky. Something like twinkling in broad daylight. What was it?
