For a moment in time, I was yours and you were mine. Just as quickly as you came into my life you left. I don't hate you but now I understand that real love does want to be kept. So I've let go of all the plans we build together. Including our future daughter. I've embraced my solitude which in turn gave me the power of gratitude.

Here I lie again, in bed. With thoughts and glimpses of you in my head.
Dizzy spells of the past that seem to forever last. I'm Exhausted. At times consumed by the memory of my hearts crippling pain. All those sacrifices just in vain. Shadows of the version of you I once loved still dwell. They make me want to yell. Vision turned into a nauseating delusion. So sick of feeling this way. So much to be said but knowing you could careless anyway. Prayer is my solace. Pain is my darkness. The recent events just broke me even more. I'm so insignificant to you that I'm the one you still choose to ignore. Not worthy enough to be seen by you. So easy to make a promise to but in the end you still choose not to pull through. You're not the man I fell in love with. You've retracted to that insecure man that I met. Instead of building yourself up, you've let darkness be your everlasting breath. In the end, I want to forget. Not love you or loathe you. I just want to not look back with regret. I pray to speed up the healing process to bring forth indifference.
That beautiful notion is all I crave because only then will my heart, mind, body and soul be anew.

Stop letting people and things disqualify you from your greatness. Use the things that were meant to break you. Use your mistakes. Use the things that were supposed to work against as things that end up working for you. Straight up. When you hit a road block just take the detour of life, but NEVER give up!

I've done everything in my power to move on. I've deleted pictures. I've deleted your number. Threw out all the shit that reminded me of you. You've moved farther away. When I say everything, I mean everything. Still one thing remains, the love and life we shared. It haunts me and my life feels like a dream. I'm living a life I know doesn't belong to me. Just when I feel I am better you creep up in my dreams. I'm just connected to you, to us. Even when there is a no us. All I am left with are whispers of the past and one question remains. How am I supposed to just live without you because if this is it, this ain't living.

Live for LEGACY not Mediocrity
Listen up! Don't settle for kinda. Fight through all of life's distractions. Don't let ANYONE or any circumstance deter you from what God has set you to be. Every day I am hit by life. Every day there is something that takes my focus away. Sometimes it's those you hold most close. Sometimes it's those who are no longer in your life. Sometimes it's just life crumbling all around. The key is to thank God no matter what. Use those broken pieces and use them as stepping stones, to keep building that path you were meant to lead.
